SOUTH EVELEIGH PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

A small, imaginative playground in the old Australian Technology Park at Eveleigh, built mostly of timber and set among trees. The tree houses are the centrepiece and look like something out of a fairytale, joined by climbing frames, a sandpit, a slide and two swings including one for babies, with a big grassed area behind for running about or kicking a ball. Toilets, a parents room and a bubbler are right alongside, and clean barbecues and picnic tables sit close by. Cafes ring the precinct, so coffee is never far away. It is shaded and calm during the day, but the lighting is poor and it is not much use after dark.
